Introducing Dr. Justin Pellow
My name is Justin Pellow and I was born in Germiston, a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. I was inspired to study Chiropractic by Des Sinclair, a wise old man and an ex-Rugby Union great (a member of the legendary 1951 – 52 “Springboks” side after being assigned to attend his very successful Chiropractic clinic for work experience. It was there that we met and formed a bond. As I listened intently to the Rugby Union legend, I discovered more and more that Chiropractic as a profession, was calling me. The seeds had really been sown much earlier. When I was thirteen years of age, my mother experienced chronic neck pain (the result of a whiplash injury) and severe migraines. The best relief she could get was through Chiropractic. I personally received relief from Chiropractic to address a chronic shoulder injury.
I studied Chiropractic at Technikon Natal university, (now known as The Durban Institute of Technology) in Durban, South Africa, and graduated in October 1999. I then practised in Johannesburg before my wife Karen and I moved to the UK where I practised for 4½ years. We decided to move to Australia to join HealthGuard Clinics Toowoomba as I wanted to move to a like-minded practice that offers some of the best treatment available. After undertaking pre-requisites to meet requirements of Australian registration, I commenced practise at the Clinic in December 2005.
My wife Karen and I enjoy going to the gym, playing tennis, riding our mountain bikes, going for walks and swimming. I love playing my guitar and am looking forward to getting back into playing golf. I can also converse in Afrikaans, however a little rusty.
I have chosen to devote my life to Chiropractic because it is a dynamic, growing field that is non-invasive, safe and helps to improve the health of patients by enabling their own bodies to function better without using drugs or surgery. I am grateful I did because patients are rewarded with better health and I am rewarded by seeing people get better and getting on with their lives.
My personal promise to you is that I will always endeavour to give you the best treatment possible.
